Although this decision is unfortunate, I have chosen to cancel the April class. The state has not yet provided certified firearms instructors with the required curriculum and materials needed to comply with the law taking effect April 2, 2026.

I appreciate your patience and understanding during this time. Once all new state requirements have been clearly outlined and an appropriate curriculum has been developed, I will resume scheduling classes.

Any new courses will have new requirements that make classes longer and more expensive because of the new laws seen below

• Safe handling, use, and storage of firearms;
• Secure storage and childproofing methods;
• Applicable Massachusetts firearms laws (possession, transportation, storage);
• Firearm operation and safe manipulation;
• Suicide prevention and injury reduction education;
• Laws governing use of force in the Commonwealth;
• Disengagement and conflict avoidance tactics; and
• Live-fire training
